With four young kids and a main floor that was starting to feel tight, this family knew it was time to make better use of the space they already had — a large, unfinished basement that had become a catch-all for storage.
We transformed the lower level into a fully finished extension of the home, framing in distinct zones that support both function and family: a spacious living area, kitchenette, full bathroom, laundry/mudroom entry from the back door, and two large bedrooms the kids will eventually grow into. Every space was designed to be useful now and adaptable for years to come.
Upstairs, we reimagined the primary bathroom by removing an unused jacuzzi tub, expanding the shower, adding a new storage closet, and updating the vanity to create a brighter, more spa-like retreat for the parents.
The result: a home that’s better balanced, more livable, and ready to grow with the family.
